Kuala Lumpur Museum

On my second visit to Kuala Lumpur last November, IDEAS guys brought me and another guest, Dr. Sary Levy from Venezuela, to a tour of the KL museum. Nice place.

Pre-colonial period.

Colonial period. Among the armaments of colonial masters.

Extracting rubber, old and traditional way.

Among the modern Malaysia clothing.

The museum is within the city proper, beside tall buildings.

Park Royal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Last year I went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2x, in April for a SEANET forum and in November for the PRA-IDEAS forum, my hotel was Park Royal, it's 5-star. I stayed there for two nights I think, November 15-17, 2015.

This is a bit far from the KLCC/Petronas Towers. The lobby.

My bed, comfy enough though some molecules of cigarette smoke remained. It was possibly a smoking room, don't know.

My work area, beside the tv set.

Breakfast area, also  the main restaurant.

Two swimming pools, 0.5  meter deep for kids, and 0.9 meter deep for adults.

View outside my room.

Hotel view at the back, from the swimming  pool area. I don't remember how tall or how many floors, around 20+ I think.

It's on a busy street. Across it after an intersection is this huge two-towers hotel below, casino I think.

IDEAS has a contract with Park Royal, so room rates for them are discounted.

Thanks Wan, Lorenzo, for the good forum and accommodation.
